Paisley was born with an obstructed tear duct that never drained properly. It constantly watered and was goopy. Today we had it 'probed'. The probing consisted of sticking a flexible probe down her tear duct in the corner of her right eye. The procedure took less than 5 minutes and we were not allowed to be in the room during it. It was the longest 5 minutes ever!! I wasn't sure what kind of a mood she would be in this evening... but she has been really happy! Here are some pictures of her this evening after her big day.

oh good, she'll feel much better now! Is this something that will always have to be done for awhile or is a one time only thing?
Usually it only has to be done once but in 2% of infants the tear duct reseals and gets clogged again. HOPEFULLY, she is done for good...
