Memorial Day

For Memorial Day this year, we had a BBQ with Tim's family. It was really nice to see everyone and it was great because Paisley was able to play with her cousin Mackenzie. Paisley hadn't seen Mackenzie since she started walking, so it was fun to see them together when Paisley was able to better keep up with Mackenzie :-) Paisley LOVED playing in Mackenzie's sand box. We had to watch her though because she kept trying to eat the sand! Here are some pictures of Paisley and Mackenize playing together.

I ♥ Faces Photo Entry

I am entering this photo of Paisley into a photo contest at http://www.iheartfaces.com/. This is my all time favorite face photo of Paisley. I took this photo when Paisley was 6 months old and enjoying the snow for the first time. Her facial expression tells everything she was feeling at that moment; happy, curious, surprised. I just love this photo!!!
I am submitting this photo into the http://www.iheartfaces.com/ Blurb book photo contest. If chosen, I grant I ♥ Faces permission to use my photo in a printed version of a book for commercial use and possibly advertising of a photo book on both the Blurb and I ♥ Faces web sites.

Swimming Lessons

Ever since Paisley turned 6 months old, Tim and I had been really excited to start her in swimming lessons. We decided to wait until Spring for better weather, who wants to take a baby to swimming lessons in the cold and rain. So we were so excited to finally start swimming with her this month!! Paisley is in a swimming class with 9 other infants between the ages of 6 months and 3 years old, one of them is her cousin Alex. From the first moment that Paisley got in the pool at her first lesson, she has LOVED the water! She gets a huge smile on her face and kicks her legs, it is really cute. Her favorite part of lessons is when she gets to sit on the side of the pool and fall into the pool when the instructor sings "Humpty Dumpty had a great fall". She usually gets so excited and tries to fall into the pool before that line of the song :-) Tim and I both love the water and figured that she would too so it is so cute for us to see her loving the water and floating on her back and kicking her legs. Even though she is only 10.5 months, she is very cooperative in the water and does most everything that the instructor asks the kids to do. Paisley is usually very shy around people that she doesn't know very well, but not in the water, Paisley went to the instructor and swam around with her without looking for me or crying, I was so proud of her :-) It also helps that her cousin Alex is in the class, Paisley loves familar faces and always gives Alex and Aunt Ashlee a big smile and laugh when she sees them across the pool. Tim and I are trading off getting in the water with her. Here are some pictures of her in the water with Daddy yesterday.

Our 1st Mother's Day!

I had a great 1st Mother's Day!! I spent the first part of the day making Paisley a skirt, which is something that I had been wanting to do but couldn't find the time to do it. So Tim watched Pay and I made the whole thing from start to finish in about an hour. The best part was putting it on Paisley when I was finished :-) Pay is wearing it in the photos below. For the second half of the day Tim, Paisley and I went with my mom, dad, grandma, sister & her family to Spirit Mountain for dinner. It was a wonderful day :-)

Sesame Street LIVE!!

Yesterday, we took Paisley to see Elmo's Green Thumb at the Rose Quarter. She absolutely LOVED it! Paisley has been in LOVE with Elmo since I first put an Elmo DVD on for her when she was ~3 Months old. Ever since then she has gotten really excited everytime she sees the little red monster! So of course when we heard that Elmo was going to be at the Rose Quarter we had to buy tickets. The show was really really cute and kept her entertained the whole time. At the beginning of the show, Bert & Ernie came out and were talking and then the Sesame Street characters starting coming out on stage one by one and Elmo was the last, when he finally came out Paisley started pointing at him and rocking back and forth! It was priceless!!! My parents went with us, as well as my sister and her two boys & step daughter and my grandma. My mom made Alex, Paisley and Ashton Elmo outfits that were sooo cute. Paisley got lots of compliments on her Elmo suit :-) The photos aren't as good of quality as usual, we could not take our good camera into the show because they deemed it a 'professional' camera, so we had to use a digital camera of lesser quality.
