Big One Year Old

Today was Paisley's 1 year old appointment!! She is WAY above on all of her milestones... she is a smart little cookie :-) She amazed the doctors with her good behavior. She just sat on the table all by herself and let the doctor listen to her heart, take her temperature, look in her ears and she didn't even move! She was such a big girl and she didn't even get scared of the doctor :-) I was sooo proud of her. She weighs 20.0 pounds (28th percentile) and is 29.5 inches tall (57th percentile). Paisley had to get her shots which was sad because she has been teething and feeling terrible as it is ... so today has been interesting :-)

The weather was so beautiful yesterday so we decided to spend a large portion of the day outside. Paisley played in the sprinkler and loved playing in the little puddles of waters that the sprinkler was making in the grass.

Beach Trip for Father's Day & Paisley's Birthday

Paisley's birthday was on Father's Day this year which was really special for Tim :-) He loved sharing his first Father's Day with Paisley's first birthday. Tim and I went away with my family to the beach for 2 nights over Father's Day weekend. We stayed at one of Tim's co-worker's beach house and had an awesome time!! We woke up on Father's Day/Paisley's Birthday and ate breakfast out on the deck while watching some raccoons trying to catch fish out of the river that runs behind the beach house. Paisley kept pointing to the raccoons gibbering and saying Kiiiiy (aka Kitty) :-) We then went shopping at the Outlet malls before returning home for Paisley's afternoon nap. After her nap, we took the Father's and Paisley out for a nice dinner out on a Pier over the ocean. It was absolutely gorgeous looking out at the water. After dinner, we went on a drive and saw several deer eating right on the side of the road. We were able to sit there for awhile and let Paisley watch them eat. Everyone had a wonderful time and we are so grateful to have such wonderful friends that allowed us the opportunity to stay at their beach house :-)

Paisley got this baby stroller for her birthday from my parents and it was a HUGE hit at the beach house. She insisted on pushing the stroller around everywhere. She would take out her baby and give her a big kiss and then put the baby back in the stroller and continue pushing her. It was so precious... I know she will be a wonderful big sister some day.

Paisley's 1st Birthday Party!!

For Paisley's 1st Birthday Party we had a Yo Gabba Gabba party. Yo Gabba Gabba is a TV show that Paisley LOVES!! For her party, my mom made Paisley a dress with one of the characters from the show, Foofa. For the gift bags for the kids, we made each of them shirts with a character from Yo Gabba Gabba. Tim, my dad and I wore Yo Gabba Gabba shirts as well :-) We had a banner made for Paisley's party that showed chronological photos of Paisley from her very first ultrasound at 13 weeks to her at a year old! It was very sad to look out, I can't believe how big my baby is! Paisley had a wonderful party, she got lots of wonderful gifts and had fun playing with her friends!!

Pump It Up with ELMO!

Tim's Aunt Dawn let us know that Elmo was going to be at Pump It Up last Friday! We knew that we just had to take Paisley!! We had never been to Pump It Up so it was a great time to go check it out and let Paisley see Elmo. Paisley had a great time playing!! The Elmo costume was really cheesy, but Paisley did not notice, she kept pointing at him and jibbering, she even gave Elmo a high 5! She loved the slide and even started climbing the little slide all by herself :-) Paisley also loved the obstacle course and took turns racing Mommy and Daddy through the course. Everyone had a great time! We also took some video and will post them if I can find the time ;-) Enjoy!
