Waldron Family Blog: Driving Miss Daisy

Today is my nephew Alex's 2nd Birthday!!! He had a Disney Cars party and it was a blast!!! It was originally planned as a pool party with our water slide but of course the weather didn't cooperate and everyone was scrambling at the last minute with the change of plans. Regardless of the weather though, the party turned out to be A BLAST and everyone had a great time. Alex was really into opening presents, so that was a big difference from last year. He was really sweet, opening one present at a time and hugging whoever brought the gift :-) Paisley even decided to help him open gifts.. hopefully she still feels like opening presents in 2 weeks :-)

After cake, we all went outside to watch Alex open his big gift from his parents, it was a Power Wheels Jeep Rubicon. He pulled the blanket off and freaked out!! He immediately jumped in and Tim put Paisley in the passenger seat and so it began. Alex drove Paisley around the yard while she stood up in the passenger seat and held on to the bar! It was the cutest thing you have ever seen. Everyone kept saying that he was "Driving Miss Daisy". They looked so adorable!! Alex was very polite and took turns with his friends allowing everyone to drive his Jeep. Paisley even got a turn. Let me just tell you that this Jeep is for ages 3+ and Paisley stood up, pressed the pedal and steered the thing ALL BY HERSELF!! Everyone was laughing, it was soooo hillarious to watch someone her size drive the jeep. She is a go getter and not scared or anything like that. The jeep has two different speeds, a slower one for the younger kids and a faster one for the older kids. So when my cousins (Paisley and Alex's 2nd cousins) were driving, we turned it up on high speed and Paisley and Alex were all smiles as they sat in the passenger seat. All of the kids at the party has a GREAT time and crashed afterwards!! Alex's party got us soooo excited about Paisley's upcoming 1st Birthday Party!! We can't wait....
